Pentagram Publishing presents the debut work of young Ukrainian artist Anastasiia Bilostotska — Oculus et Serpentibus Tarot (Latin for “The Tarot of Eyes and Serpents”). This deck was created entirely with watercolor and acrylic paints on paper, without any digital graphics or use of AI.

Oculus et Serpentibus Tarot deck, inspired by the classic Rider–Waite tradition, brings a fresh symbolic depth through the recurring presence of snakes and eyes—powerful emblems of wisdom, transformation, and inner vision.
While honoring the familiar archetypes and structure of the traditional Tarot, this deck introduces a mythic and almost alchemical atmosphere. Snakes appear not as threats, but as guides—ancient symbols of rebirth, shedding, and deep intuitive knowledge. They remind the reader of the ongoing cycles of growth, letting go, and personal evolution.

Eyes—sometimes human, sometimes abstract, always watchful—appear throughout the deck as symbols of insight, spiritual clarity, and heightened awareness. They invite the seeker to look beyond the surface, to pierce illusion, and to confront hidden truths within themselves and the world.
This is more than a tool for divination; it is a meditative system designed for seekers who are ready to dive into their own depths. It speaks to the modern soul—one that craves not just answers, but revelation. Bridging the known and the unknown, the seen and the unseen, this deck becomes a mirror for transformation and true perception.
